Positive steps in motion
Every year the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association (SBIA) holds the Brain Boogie walk/run. The 2015 Brain Boogie will take place in five cities across Saskatchewan:
August 29: Moose Jaw
September 12: Regina, Prince Albert and Yorkton
September 13: Saskatoon
Each event raises funds that go back into those communities through the local SBIA chapter and provides support and regular programming for brain injury survivors and caregivers. The funds also help support annual events and awareness/prevention programs throughout Saskatchewan.
With over 2000 new brain injuries each year, SBIA works tirelessly to provide programs that allow brain injury survivors and their families to come together and know that they are not alone in their path. Funding raises awareness about brain injury in different walks of life including sports, corrections system and housing needs.
Support your local community by donating and/or participating in your local Brain Boogie. All funds stay in your community to support local programs for brain injury survivors and their families – funds also support awareness and prevention programs.
